Description

Principle of operation

The mash from the hopper 2 enters the loading chamber 1, while part of the wort flows through the mesh of the housing of the loading chamber into its lower part and is diverted to the wort collector. As the mash moves through the conveying screw 3, further selection of wort occurs, which flows into the perforated cylinder 4 into the tray 10. At the point of transition of the mash from the conveying screw 3 to the pressing screw 5 due to the rotation of the screws in different directions, the mash is loosened and mixed. Further selection of wort takes place in the pressing chamber. Depending on the purpose of the presses, it is possible to obtain three fractions of wort. The humidity of the pomace coming out of the press is regulated by the pressure change in the hydraulic system in the range from 0 to 160 atm and is controlled by a manometer.
